The cold weather here at home has finally broken. We did not have a below zero temp this am and it got up to around 45 today with sunshine. We are still on schedule to head south Sun am. We want to get to Memphis which is about 623 miles south. There is no reason we should not get started as weather looks good. Hitting a good weather window has always been my worry, but according to the forecast there will be no problems except for possible rain. Rain I can take, it is ice I worry about. The van is gassed up and we are starting to pack stuff other than clothes that we want to take.
If we did anything wrong with this trip so far, it was not starting about a month sooner to get away from some awful cold weather. We will probably feel silly driving south in such warm weather.
